💡 Smartlink addresses one of the biggest challenges in the global marketplace: ‘Need to Trust,’ by introducing decentralized escrow services and payments processing based on Tezos' institutional-grade smart contracts that suppress the need for buyers and sellers to trust each other.
🛠 Smartlink aims to provide a user-centered escrow solution to secure online and face-to-face transactions while broadening payment acceptance options through integrated wrapped currencies.
🤝 Smartlink proposes a new method to initiate commercial transactions by offering Trust-As-A-Service to incentivize commitment and eliminate the trust deficit in the global marketplace.
1️⃣ Tezos is a decentralised, open-source blockchain network that can be used to conduct peer-to-peer transactions and as a forum for smart contract deployment. The Tezos blockchain's native cryptocurrency is the tez, which has the symbol XTZ.
2️⃣ The Tezos network uses a liquid proof-of-stake model to build consensus. Tezos has an on-chain governance model that allows the protocol to amend itself when group members vote in favour of update proposals. Thanks to this feature,Tezos will prevent hard forks that other blockchains must deal with.
3️⃣ Tezos' key protocol uses liquid proof of stake (LPoS) and supports Turing-complete smart contracts written in Michelson, a domain-specific language.
A wrapped token is a cryptocurrency token whose value is tied to that of another cryptocurrency. Since the original asset is placed in a wrapper, i.e a digital vault that allows the wrapped version to be formed on another blockchain, it's called a wrapped token. Smartlink will integrate over 15 wrapped tokens including WBTC (FA 1.2), WETH (FA 1.2 ), WUSD along with SMAK (FA 1.2) through Wrap Protocol. Wrap Protocol is an initiative from Bender Labs to bring liquidity to Tezos DeFi applications. Some of these wrapped tokens are still in the process of being implemented and will be launched throughout 2021. 👉 More details here.
Smartlink solves one of the most pressing issues in the global marketplace: the need for buyers and sellers to trust one another, by providing decentralized escrow payment services based on institutional-grade smart contracts that eliminate the 'need to trust'. Smartlink's goal is to provide a user-centered payments solution that secures online and in-person transactions while also broadening payment method options through wrapped tokens. 💥 SMAK is a utility token used on the Smartlink platform built on the FA 1.2 standard.
SMAK tokens allow users to benefit from a fee exemption on the Smartlink platform and other utilities such as:
👉 Escrow Rewards 👉 Staking 👉 On-Chain Governance
Smartlink will migrate to mainnet in Q4 2021.You can refer to the roadmap in the above sections for more details.
Smartlink will integrate over 15 wrapped tokens including WBTC (FA 1.2), WETH (FA 1.2 ), WUSD along with SMAK (FA 1.2) through Wrap Protocol. Wrap Protocol provides a simple mechanism that converts ERC-20 FA 1.2 tokens supported on the Tezos blockchain. At any given time, the number of wrapped tokens is equivalent to the amount of ERC-20 tokens locked on the Ethereum blockchain. 👉 See more details in the Wiki.
